Some men are single by choice and others are single for other reasons. Regardless, it is something that most single men often say they enjoy, but sometimes, they could use a little refining.

This came to the attention of many recently when a British study showed just how often people change their bedsheets. As it turns out, single men are the worst offenders, with significantly worse hygiene than women.

During the study, the single men in the UK were asked how long they waited before changing their bedsheets. 45% of those who responded said they waited at least four months. An additional 12% said they wash them when they remember, so that could be good or bad.

When single men get into a relationship, things tend to take a turn for the better. This is due to the fact that women tend to do household chores, so the sheets get changed a little more frequently.

The survey was commissioned by Pizuna, a bedding retailer in the UK. After publishing those findings, it really got the attention of others and was even republished by the BBC.

As you can imagine, it wasn’t long before social media got wind of this information and they had a heyday with it. Comments were not always friendly, with some saying it’s little wonder they are single and others expressing their outright disgust.

Another interesting debate that was certain to happen was over how household chores are often done. They were wondering if the survey was commissioned to try to get men with a partner or just to show that they were not the most hygienic people on the planet.
