Summer is here, and slowly but surely, beaches everywhere are opening back up. That means that most of us are probably looking forward to getting some socially distant rays of sunshine at some point. While there is nothing more fun than sand and surf, we have to admit that sometimes the tides can get a little rough – particularly for kids. That constant push and pull of the waves can sometimes be a little overwhelming for someone who is a tiny human. Fortunately, someone came up with a genius beach hack so your kids can have the best of both worlds. And all it requires is a shovel, some patience, and a shower curtain.

The blog, In Lieu of Preschool, came out with a brilliant hack of the building a little wading pool for your kids at the beach. Below are the items you will need:
– One shower curtain liner
– A bucket
– A shovel
The instructions are quite simple as well:
1. Dig a hole in the ground. Be sure it’s wide and deep enough for your kids to comfortably sit in.

2. Place the shower liner in the hole and make sure that it is lined flat against the bottom. Then, bury the liner’s edges in the sand in order to keep it in place.
3. Use the bucket to fill it with ocean water
4. Enjoy!
Adults can use it too! What do you think of this hack? Will you be using it this summer? Let us know!
