Although we may have had a lot of wishes when we were children, one of the wishes that made many lists was having a treehouse. For some, it became a reality but for others, it was just a childhood dream that never went fulfilled.

Now that you’re an adult, you have an opportunity to fulfill that dream and you don’t even have to build a treehouse to do it. All you need to do is look on Airbnb and point your sites at Texas to see a six-story treehouse made from old shipping containers.

The treehouse was built by Steve Taylor, an engineer who lived in the area. In speaking with Insider, he said that he had an aha moment.

His father was also an engineer, and he got his help, along with the help of other family members and friends. He then went on to build the six-story treehouse and offer it for rent on Airbnb

The two-bedroom vacation home is the Air Castle Treehouse. It may be rustic, but it has all of the modern conveniences you need and can sleep up to four people.

Some of the things you can expect when you come to the treehouse include a kitchen and bathroom indoors with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and the utensils you need for eating.

Wi-Fi is also available along with heating, air-conditioning, an indoor fireplace, and a large-screen flat TV. They even have a washer and dryer for those who need to wash their clothes while they are visiting.

Although what is on the inside of the home is amazing, it’s what is on the outside of the home that really captures people’s attention. The views of the surrounding area are absolutely stunning.

There is a large wall of windows in the living room that allows you to look out and see what the Texas landscape has to offer. You can even go out onto one of the five different balconies, including one with a hot tub and screened-in porch.

There is even a crow’s nest so that you can go up and get the best view of all.

If you’re interested in staying in this unique treehouse, you have to be at least 12 years old. The rates start at $330 per night and it is rated five out of five stars.
