The idea of staying at an Airbnb that is even considered remotely dangerous does not appeal to the vast majority of us.
Why would anyone want to deal with this type of thing when they are trying their best to enjoy some rest and relaxation? This is the question that Aussie couple Riley Whitelum and Elayna Carausu asked of themselves recently and it is quite the story.
They go by the online moniker of Sailing La Vagabonde, and they recently shared a video of their experience at a unique overnight stay. Lenny and Darwin, their two sons, were along for the ride as well.
“What on Earth are we doing?” Elayna asked as she prepared to be winched up in a bosun’s chair. “Holy crap, I’m all for, like, having children and not letting that change your lifestyle, and have them adapt to you, but this is probs where I draw the line.”
This couple has been sailing all over the globe for the past eight years on the La Vagabond and this is where they got their online handle from. They have been sharing their adventures over the course of these journeys. Can you believe that they have managed to amass a following of nearly 2 million people by doing so?
The video that they just shared on the 18th of October has placed them in the spotlight but they probably wish that they hadn’t. If you would like to stay here, you will need to venture off the coast of North Carolina. This location is known as the Frying Pan Tower, which is a fancy name for an oil rig that sits in the middle of the ocean.
To stay here, you will need to shell out over $1,500 per night. That seems outrageous to us but what do we know? The only reason this excursion even happened is because Riley did not take the time to tell Elayna the specifics before they arrived. “Love you babe,” he called out to her as they made their way up. “I hate you right now,” she called back.
