Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you are anything like us, you are not a big fan of house cleaning tasks. The bathroom can be especially problematic and no one likes taking time out of their day to clean a toilet. Once the toilet has had the chance to develop hard water stains, you’ll need to follow certain cleaning tips if you are going to avoid long-term issues.

There’s an easy cleaning hack that’s here to help.

To get started, grab a plunger. You’ll want to make sure that you are getting as much of the water out of the toilet as possible. If the toilet bowl is not dry and empty, the hack is not going to work nearly as well. As soon as the toilet bowl is cleaned out, it’s time to add some distilled vinegar.

Then, grab some paper towels and soak them in the vinegar and leave them around the rim of the bowl overnight. Make sure that they are going to stay on the rim before walking away, because the last thing that you want to do is wake up to a bathroom full of wet paper towels that stink of vinegar.

When you wake up in the morning, it is time to remove the paper towels from the bowl. Take a toilet brush and give the bowl a good scrub. Once you are done with this step, it is time to flush. If the hard water stains still persist, you may need to repeat the steps that we just discussed.
