For those who go trick-or-treating on October 31 every year, Reese’s peanut butter cups have always been a special treat. It seems as if that candy brand is now offering another option this year to help trick-or-treaters get something special without putting themselves in danger.

It is the Reese’s Trick-or-Treat Door, which uses a robotic social distancing tool to put Reese’s peanut butter cups within reach of those who come up to your doorstep this Halloween. All you have to do is say “trick or treat” and the trick-or-Treat Door will be on your doorstep.

“This Halloween is unlike any other, so we’ve upped the ante on creativity as a result,” said Allen Dark, Reese’s senior brand manager according to CandyIndustry. “A robotic Reese’s dispensing door is just what the world needs right now!”

This interesting robotic door wanders around through neighborhoods using remote control and brings treats to your doorstep. The neighborhood will even know it is arriving in advance, thanks to the lights, Halloween soundtrack, and smoke that travels with it.

When the robotic dispenser comes up to a door, you say “trick-or-treat” and a king-size Reese’s peanut butter cup will be dispensed.

Here is how it works:

* Three motors power the door, directed by a remote control from up to 5,000 feet away – no humans nearby required.

* The 9-foot door features a built-in Bluetooth-enabled speaker that activates once “trick or treat” is said.

* A king-size Reese’s candy bar will appear through the mail slot from a retractable shelf.
