When we stop to think about the possibility of police showing up at our door, it’s never a good scenario. More than likely, they will have some bad news about someone we care about or they will have bad news for us.

That wasn’t the case, however, when Anastasia Elsinger had police knocking at her door. It seems as if they were simply doing some community service and dropping off the food she had ordered after arresting her driver.

In a doorbell video that has now gained a lot of attention, those police officers are announcing their presence and the fact that they have something good for the homeowner. They also say that the driver had been arrested because he didn’t take care of his warrants but they didn’t want the homeowner to be hungry.

According to KELO, police officer Sam Clemens, explained that it isn’t a normal situation.

He said: “It’s not like we have officers that are out delivering food but the little things like this, going above and beyond, helping people out. That’s the things that we do. And probably more often than people realize.”

The police officer’s sister also chimed in, saying that likely, it was just a matter of her brother realizing what it felt like to wait a long time for food to arrive. He knew that the woman had paid for her food so he just took things to the next level.

As far as the police officer was concerned, he really wasn’t the type that wanted all of the extra attention. It seems as if he just wanted to do a good deed and to “protect and serve” in the best way he possibly could.

Admittedly, he probably wasn’t expecting to serve food as a police officer but it really shows his moral fiber and the fact that he was willing to do it.
