From there, your funds are used to order food from local pizzerias with the Slice app. After the order has been placed, local shelters, clinics, and hospitals are provided with free eats. It can be tough for workers to find a hot and delicious meal when they are in the midst of saving lives. Slice Out Hunger has already delivered nearly 3,000 pizzas to these workers and your donation remains meaningful.
The benefits of this initiative go well beyond assisting healthcare workers as well. Local businesses are suffering immensely right now, as more and more people are opting to cook at home.
