Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

The past few months have been hard on the restaurant businesses out there. They have been left to wonder what comes next for them, as more and more patrons have decided to cook at home. It’s hard for anyone who wants to dine out to even do so at the moment and creative solutions are needed. One Brooklyn-based pizzeria used their creativity to the max when they tested an ariel delivery method using a bunch of colorful, helium-filled balloons.

Vinnie’s Pizzeria, one of the most famous pizza joints in Brooklyn, wanted to let their customers know that their doors were open on New Year’s Day.

They showcased this by sharing a photo of a bunch of helium-filled balloons. Tied on the end of the balloons, was a slice of their delicious pizza.

With the photo, they wrote, “WE’RE OPEN. Our delivery drones are standing by! We’re fully staffed and ready to deliver.”

It wouldn’t be 2021 without these delicious pies and we hope that more pizzerias are willing to use the same delivery “drones”! Who cares if the pizza scrapes the ground a bit? All that does is add a little extra flavor, right?
