It always pays to read the food labels. Many of us do so to learn about calories or perhaps preservatives.

For a 31-year-old name Paden Ferguson, however, it is a way of life. He considers himself to be a food label expert, and he regularly shares information on TikTok about his findings.

Recently, he posted an 11-second video while at a Walmart store. He said: “There’s something fishy about this pesto.”

He then goes on to read the label on the side of the jar. It contains milk, eggs, cashews, and pine nuts. That is enough to send some people to the hospital.

There was something else in the pesto that really drew his attention. He found it, reading that it “may contain traces of anchovies, sardines, tuna, and mussels.”

If somebody was allergic to shellfish, this could easily result in an emergency. People could die over a slight exposure to these ingredients, so the fact that they were in the pesto is crazy.

Something even stranger is that the warning about shellfish came on the other side of the jar. It wasn’t even in the ingredients!

Many people came on to comment about what he found. They also reacted to the support he was providing and the fact that they appreciated him reviewing food labels.

Also, they put it on the other side of the jar. #padiano #walmartfinds #greatvaluebrand

It is always best to learn from this example and read the food labels yourself. The more you know, the more you know.
