The moment that the last Jack-O-Lantern’s candle went out on Halloween night, was the moment that Mariah Carey emerged from her cave singing “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The pumpkin spice lattes were traded in for gingerbread lattes, and the fall leaves were ditched for faux snow and silver tinsel.

Yes, the Christmas season is officially upon us. That means that everywhere we look, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with each day that gets closer to the 25th of December.

Of course, there are some people that are torn as to when the Christmas season truly starts. But, in the village of Newburgh, a small town in Fife County, Scotland, the Christmas season is already in full swing. They have an annual Christmas light festival, but it’s not just any regular light festival. This annual one is extra special as it features a winning light design taken from the creativity of kids’ drawings. It has been a tradition since 2002 and has been done every year since.

What a cute way of spreading around some holiday cheer. Judging from some of the designs, there are some pretty talented kids as well! Check out some of our favorites below:

1) Christmas Penguin

This guy definitely looks festive and ready for the season.

2) Santa’s Reindeer

Sometimes simplicity is best.

3) Gingerbread Man

The Christmas season wouldn’t be complete without the gingerbread cookie.

4) Christmas Angel

Looks so much like the angels that grace the tops of our Christmas trees.

5) Even Penguins Get Cold

This little guy looks all bundled up and ready to play in the snow.

6) Frosty the Snowman

A well-known character of this time of year.

7) Oh Christmas Tree, oh Christmas Tree

The season wouldn’t be complete without this icon.

8) Rudolph, Is That You?

The big red nose seems to say so.

9) These Lights

Not really sure what this is, but we like it.

10) Santa!

And of course, the big man himself!
