Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

When most of us sit down to binge Netflix, we are just watching what is available to everyone. As it turns out, however, there are some who binge shows much earlier than the rest of us.

The Wall Street Journal spoke about this privileged group of Netflix users that only numbers in the low thousands.

They have access to the streaming network’s original TV shows and movies and watch them before they are released to the general public.

Considering the fact that there are 223 million subscribers to the streaming platform, it really is amazing that there are only about 2,000 who are enrolled in the special group. What is even more interesting is the fact that they are about to open it up for many more to take part in the special program next year.

If you are interested, the program is known as the Netflix Preview Club. It has only been around for about a year, and most people are not even aware that it exists. After watching the unreleased content, members will fill out surveys and they can even have an impact on the direction of a movie or show will take.

Some people came forward on Reddit and claimed to be part of the group. They said: “Yes, it’s legitimate. You watch Netflix original movies before they’re released and answer survey questions about them. (You also have to sign an NDA because these truly are not released and still in final editing stage).”

They went on to say that they are provided with a special Netflix account and are told via email what movies to watch. Typically, they have about a week to watch the movie and fill out a survey.

Nobody knows for sure how the members of the Netflix Preview Club are selected, but it never hurts to ask if you want to join.
