There is one home in Riverside, California that is truly taking people’s breath away this year…and there are 911 calls to prove it. Halloween lovers Carmen and Travis Long have come up with quite the idea. From a distance, the home appears to have burst into flame. This has led to frantic phone calls from concerned onlookers.

Flames appear to be shooting up from the first-floor windows and smoke seems to be moving across their lawn. Pirate cannons and skeletons are manning the front of the home. We have seen a lot of great decorations this year. but this one has to be the best, hands down. The home’s not really on fire but this is a couple who is committed to their theme.

“My husband ‘stole’ the idea from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland,” Carmen shared with Fox13. The fire? In her words, it is “just satin cloth, an orange light, a red light and a fan.” That has not stopped concerned locals from calling the fire department. The false alarms have caused the couple to take some proactive steps.

When the decorations are going to be turned on, they are in touch with the fire department. The home also has a fire alarm system, in case of an actual fire. “We do this for the public’s enjoyment,” Carmen said in the interview. If you would like to see more about this home, be sure to check out her interview with Riverside County Media below.

Locals are invited to check out the home during the designated times if they are curious about how the decorations work. The Longs live at Chapman Place and Magnolia Avenue in the city of Riverside. The fiery display will be turned on from Friday through Sunday, from the hours of 7:00 PM. to 9:00 PM. Kudos to this inventive couple for taking all of the proper precautions before showing their awesome display!

Riverside Wood Streets Pirates Themed Halloween House

The elaborate Halloween display caught the eye of passerby's and seemed so realistic, the Fire Department was called, but don't worry, it is just a really impressive display. Homeowners, Carmen and Travis have lived in the home for about 4-years, but have been in the Wood Streets for many more and enjoy being a part of the reputation the neighborhood has in the elaborate home and yard decorations they are known for around Halloween and Christmas seasons. They still have some additions to make to their "Pirates of the Caribbean" themed display, and hands down, one of the most impressive and realistic around. A must see for sure. It is located at the corner of Chapman and Magnolia in the City of Riverside and on display only Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7pm-9pm.Please remember to obey all traffic laws, do not stop in the middle of the road and be courteous to neighbors. Safety First!
