Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

There are certain foods that just belong at the top of the list when it comes to go-to edibles. Nachos are undeniably included in that list, and it doesn’t matter if you are eating a pile of them at a restaurant or grabbing a plate full for while you are binge-watching Netflix, they are a mouthwatering part of our lives.

You might even be wondering what could be possible beat a plate of nachos. How about an entire table of nachos?

Of course, not everybody is going to jump on the bandwagon and it seems as if there is plenty to argue about when this fantasy becomes a reality. It happened when a woman posted a video of their family tradition on TikTok. That tradition, which they lovingly called the “Nacho table” is precisely as it sounds. The entire table was filled up with nacho goodies.

After sharing the process of making the Nacho table, it went up for debate. The process is to put a layer of tortilla chips down on a full-size dining room table. Of course, tinfoil was used underneath, because we aren’t animals. All of the crevices are then loaded with nacho toppings, such as beef, lettuce, cheese, onions, tomatoes, peppers, salsa, and guacamole. Finally, the entire family digs in!

As you can imagine, some people love the idea but other people hate it. That is especially true once they see it in action on the video. Perhaps one of the biggest arguments is if it is sanitary to be dipping into the guacamole while everyone else in your family is doing so as well.

“Sorry, but no,” someone commented on the video.

“The people leaning over the food while they eat and using the other food as a plate would make me too paranoid to eat it,” another person wrote.

“The amount of unsanitary child hands would cause me to leave the entire house,” another added.

Although there were people who hated the idea, there were also plenty who thought it was incredible.

“I’m so mad that my family doesn’t do this,” someone wrote followed by, “This is the best thing I’ve ever seen,” from another.
