While most of the country was busy staying in as much as possible, there were some people who also decided that 2020 was a good time to move. Of course, they moved for different reasons, including to find work, to be near family, or perhaps just to get away from the city.

Many of them rented U-Haul vans and trucks to make the move, so that company was in the forefront for much of the activity. They were also in a position to report on the most popular states where people were moving, and now the word is being shared with everyone.

The U-Haul Company of Nashville president, Jeff Porter, said that many people were moving to Tennessee from California. He felt that it was because of the lifestyle, including having plenty of work, being business-friendly, and having no income tax.

Tennessee was at the top of the list, but there were some other popular destination locations, including Texas, Florida, and Ohio. They were able to make this list with accuracy because more than 2 million people rented one-way U-Haul vehicles that they pick up in one location and dropped off in another.
