Every mom loves a good Target run. It gives moms a chance to get out of the house and of course take in all of the awesome things that can be found at Target, it’s like Disneyland for moms.

Browsing through Target alone is a real treat for any mom, with no kids tagging along to slow down a busy mom. But there’s another kind of “kid” that likes to tag along at Target. One fur-baby named Zira, a cute little Corgi pup loves to go to Target with his mom. His reaction while going through Target has captured the hearts of dog lovers around the world.

Zira is a 4-month old mini Aussie-Corgi mix. His human-mom took him on a Target shopping trip and documented their adventure with her cell phone. She took some pretty adorable pictures and video and uploaded them to her Instagram account. Since then, the pictures have spread around social media.

Jessie and Kasey, Zira’s owners, also submitted the images and video to a popular Facebook page. They describe their puppy’s love for Target:

“Zira’s a 4 month-old Corgi and Mini Aussie mix and is in love with anything she can chew!”

They continue. “She’s a very social dog who loves to play with her friend, Poppy, the pit bull. Car rides are her favorite-she loves to go meet new friends. We spontaneously decided to go to Target yesterday morning and took Zira. She absolutely loved it! Zira got new treats and a toy. While we were turning a corner, this woman shopping saw her and freaked out! She couldn’t stop going on and on about how cute Zira was. Zira just started licking her, and the woman loved it. She even picked Zira up and let her kiss her face! She kept telling us what a beautiful and sweet dog, Zira is. Just another day of Zira spreading love and joy to the world… She loves meeting new people and getting attention!”

Jessie’s story was picked up by a local news station. In her interview, she said: “We always wanted to gain a following on Instagram. And we got about 2,000 followers but we had no idea that it would blow up like this.”

Their post went viral almost instantly. Zira’s video went viral and the account grew to over 40,000 followers. Kasey said: “At a point, I just had to shut my phone off because it was becoming too much.”

While much of the comments on the video were positive, some criticized her decision to take the dog into the store. Target only allows service dogs, so Jessie and Kasey apologized. They wanted people to know that non-service dogs can only be taken into PetSmart and Marshalls. So before you decide to do something similar with your fur-baby, please know the rules for taking pets into stores.
