Two Men Risk Their Lives To Save Woman From Apartment Fire

When an apartment complex fire ravaged the ninth floor of a building in the Chertanovo district in Russia on January 29, there was one woman who found herself trapped in her apartment.

Smoke billowed from the windows, but she was so high up, she couldn’t jump. Thankfully, two men on the 8th floor below her decided to step in, and now they’re being praised as heroes!

The Russian news outlet RBC reported that there were no casualties. The video of this rescue is an amazing one and we were spellbound watching it.

The men thought quickly and were able to save a life in the process. You can see the men climbing out of an eighth-floor window, grabbing the legs of a woman in the window of a ninth-floor apartment, and lowering her into the apartment below.

According to India Express, a dozen residents had to visit the hospital after the blaze but they are all very fortunate to be alive.

The outlet also reported that an eyewitness who spoke with the 360 TV channel said the two men who saved the woman were injured in the process. One of them suffered a burn on his hand, while the other had several cuts with glass fragments embedded inside.

We hope that these men were able to recover quickly and resume their normal routines. We cannot begin to imagine the level of gratitude that this woman has for her rescuers. This is not something that anyone should ever have to endure and we hope that all parties involved are able to get past this horrific event as soon as possible.
