Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Were you ever cleaning out your car and as you were digging in some hidden corner, perhaps between the seats, you came across a McDonald’s French fry?

Most of us wouldn’t really give it much thought before tossing it out but when we stop to think about it, how do McDonald’s French fries still look like a French fry after hiding in your car for so long?

That’s a good question to consider, but thanks to TikTok, we have some more data on McDonald’s food and it might just surprise you. I think that most of us have probably been surprised about something we’ve heard from McDonald’s, but imagine finding a McDonald’s meal that you purchased in 1996.

That is what happened to this social media user’s grandmother. In the TikTok video, the grandmother reveals the burgers and fries were from 1996 and they were kept in her closet in a box for 20 years.

So, what do you expect to see when she opens the box? Do you think that they are all disgusting? Actually, they look pretty much like they just came off the grill.

Grandma says: “The French fries look like they’ve maybe kind of fallen into your seat a month or so ago. They never rotted or decayed.”

When she pulls the hamburger out of the bag, it’s rather disturbing because the meat hasn’t rotted the roll isn’t moldy.

The commenters are understandably disturbed.

Personally, I’d like to see a homemade hamburger last that long.
