It’s annoying because we would like to consider ourselves fairly neat in every other aspect of our lives. Even the cleanest folks tend to have a disaster of a purse and it’s time to put a stop to that.

Gone are the days of having to sift through piles of receipts or old chopsticks.

Renowned decluttering expert Marie Kondo has a very simple mantra that is designed to make life easier: If the items do not “spark joy,” she recommends getting rid of them. It’s a very easy motto to live by. Now, she’s released a video to help us best organize our purses and handbags.

To get started, you’ll want to make sure that the bag is empty. Experienced Kondo viewers know what the next step is going to be – It’s time to ditch anything in the bag that does not spark any joy! Anything that you are keeping “just in case” needs to go, immediately. That means it is time to ditch the expired coupons and needless travel mementos.
