You got to love a happy accident. For most of us, these little fortunate accidents are small and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. It’s little stuff like finding a couple of onion rings in your order of fries or getting your dates mixed up only to find that you’re fully prepared a day early for an important presentation.

But one man’s happy accident ended up winning him a $1 million lotto jackpot – all thanks to a ticket-printing error!

According to Fox 5, 40-year-old Josh Buster is a prep chef living in West Burlington, Iowa. He decided to play five easy-pick plays ahead of the April 15th Mega Millions draw.

However, the error occurred when his number picks weren’t printed on the same ticket. The clerk then corrected the mistake by putting the other four plays on a separate ticket.

As the Iowa Lottery shared, “Josh said he thinks that having two tickets changed the numbers he would have received if all the plays had been printed at once. Whatever the reason, he’s thankful for the win, saying it will take away a lot of the stress in his life.”

Buster already has plans for his winnings. He wants to use some of the money to pay off both his car and the mortgage on his mom’s home.

As for the rest, he’ll be putting that away for retirement. And to think he won all five white balls balls thanks to an error – wish we had that kind of luck!
