The Cabrera family is inspiring people around the world due to the transformation of their attic. It was their daughter, Joserin, that got the ball started by sharing the pictures on twitter.

Joserin shared 4 pictures on June 22 that were nothing shy of amazing when it comes to remodeling skills. She said: “[A]nyways my dad built my mom a closet in the attic.”

There was a before, an “in-progress,” and a couple of after pictures included.

Rodolfo Cabrera talked to House Beautiful, saying: “Honestly, my wife and I needed more space for our clothes. One day I went up to my attic and I began to think ‘Wow, we have all this empty space that we can transform into something else.’”

Cabrera is no newbie when it comes to home remodeling. He has owned his own remodeling business for the past 15 years in Maryland, Remodeling & Design LLC. It took about three weeks for him to complete the project and it cost between $25,000 and $30,000.

It started with Cabrera cleaning the attic and then he sent his team and to do the framing. They updated the electrical behind the walls before hanging drywall, plastering it, and then putting in recessed LED lights.

According to Cabrera, the hardest part was the stairs because they were only attached to a single wall. He said that they had to add support to one side because it was impossible for the other. After the tweet went viral, pictures of the stairs were shared by the company and they are just as amazing as the rest of it.

Built-in shelves were installed and furniture was moved out of the master bedroom. A split AC unit was also installed to keep it cool. If you want to see more of the design and go on a virtual room to work, you can always check out the Remodeling & Design LLC Instagram account.
