From the time that many of us were young, we enjoyed putting together worlds of our own using Legos. It is one of those toys that has a timeless appeal, and in more recent years, the different Lego kits have really sparked the imagination of children (and adults) around the world.

The latest kit that is available is a 9,036-piece Lego set that allows you to put together the Roman Coliseum. The original Colosseum held up to 80,000 spectators and was the largest of its time.

The Colosseum LEGO went on sale on Black Friday. Thanks to the enormous size of the set, it overtakes the Millennium Falcon Star Wars kit, which only had some 7,541 pieces. The LEGO arena is 10.5 inches high, 20.5 inches wide, and 23.5 inches deep. The detail it contains is impressive, including the columns of the Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian orders, and an attic decorated with Corinthian pilasters. The model is built on an oval display base, allowing you to see it from all angles.
