Animator and video wizard Kevin Parry hails from Toronto and he is going viral for his amazing transformations.

The clip where he manages to morph into a pumpkin is just the tip of the iceberg. The funniest part of all is that each video seems to end in him dying the most ridiculous death possible. It’s such a hilarious touch and it’s probably why so many of us keep coming back, over and over again.

The unique combination of video-based trickery and magical flair has made Kevin quite popular. He’s self-taught but he was also given the chance to work for Laika, a well-known animation studio that is responsible for a number of awesome flicks.

If you have seen Coraline, ParaNorman, and/or The Boxtrolls, then you’re familiar with the work that Laika has produced!

Now that Kevin is having so much success, he has decided to move back to his hometown of Toronto. In his own words, it is time for him to “do the YouTube/Instagram thing.” That’s not all that he had to say, though. He shed some much-needed light on the inspiration for his projects during a recent interview with Newsweek.

“The inspiration for these transformations was to create the shortest possible videos with the most impact,” he says. “I specifically made the balloon one to be 4-5 seconds long but to be as shocking and surprising as possible. That’s why it starts with me falling—I thought what could be more scroll-stopping than someone falling face-first into the floor.”

These clips are definitely eye-catching! Check out the video below for yourself:

In a follow-video, Kevin even revealed how he managed to create the “magic” clips. You can learn how he did it in the video:
