Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Cooking shows are great, not just because you get to learn a new recipe, but because they are entertaining. Each cooking show host has their own style and personality when hosting their TV show.

If you’ve ever been in the kitchen, chances are you’ve pretended to be the host of your own cooking show too, right? I can’t be the only one putting on a show for just myself as I mash potatoes or grate carrots.

According to the Instagram of Jennifer Garner, she does something similar. She is the host of her very own, Pretend Cooking Show. If you’ve ever spent any time on her page, she will very often share videos of her recreating some of her favorite dishes.

In a recent video, Garner was joined by her mother, Patricia Ann Garner, in order to make a blackberry cobbler. Based on their interactions together, the two share a special mother-daughter bond.

The blackberry cobbler is what Garner refers to as a “potluck favorite,” and it entails the usual ingredients like blackberries, sugar, flour, salt, and eggs. As the two mix the ingredients together and pour them into a baking dish, the mother and daughter enjoy their banter.

Those watching Garner’s video thoroughly enjoyed her guest. Many commented on the video, with some stating that the two are quite entertaining and enjoyed watching them cook together, while others thought the recipe itself looked quite wonderful.

When it was almost time to put the cobbler in the oven, the pair were putting the finishing touches on the dessert. Her mom said, “You’re doing a good job, Jen.”

It is clear from the way Garner lights up at the comment, her mom’s approval still means so much. Not long afterward, they both pull the cobbler from the oven when it is done. Naturally, it looks incredible. The two of them then finish off the video by indulging in their creation while it’s still warm, topped off with some vanilla ice cream. Sounds like a wonderful activity to enjoy with Mom.
