2020 was not easy for anyone. We saw a huge, global pandemic take over our lives. Lots of people were affected by COVID-19, whether it was directly or indirectly, as a result of the virus. Many people struggled with financial problems and unemployment. The near-constant isolation took its toll on many people’s mental health. It was pure chaos most of the year, and somehow, we managed to make it to the end.

Of course, it has not been easy, and we’ve all survived in our own ways. Some of us have managed to survive 2020 by using humor as a way to cope with the craziness around us. Personally, I was the meme master for my friends’ chat group as we kept in touch while separated throughout the year. For the beloved actress, Jennifer Aniston, it appeared that she, too, was one who turned to humor. However, not everyone on the internet appreciated Aniston’s choice of funny Christmas ornament after posting a photo to her Instagram. The ornament, which was created by Etsy seller Rustic Raleigh, said, “Our First Pandemic 2020” on it. Once posted, the little decoration that retails for $5, ended up causing quite the stir.

Check it out below:

Many felt that Aniston’s decoration was insensitive in the face of a global health crisis, which has taken countless lives so far. Furthermore, the internet might have been having a field day with Aniston’s photo on Instagram, but when looking at the reviews of the actual ornament itself on Etsy, people seemed to enjoy the decoration. Many of the reviews called the decoration “relevant” and found the humor in the decoration.

So, that begs the question, who is right? Is Aniston out of line for posting such a decoration? Are people making it, and similar decorations, in the wrong? Let us know what you think!
