IKEA is well-known the world over for its functional furniture, Swedish meatballs, and affordable prices. But the furniture giant is also known for making kids’ toys, like their giant stuffed shark that is called Blahaj.

Well, in Japan, IKEA has made Blahaj come to life in a hilarious little video in order to lease a tiny apartment.

The lease video actually features a real apartment for rent that has been filled with IKEA furniture and accessories, and the versatility of the IKEA products definitely helped Blahaj sell the tiny apartment. And yes, it is a tiny apartment.

In total, it is 107 square feet in size, plus an added sleeping loft up top. Granted, 107 square feet doesn’t sound like a lot of space, but as demonstrated in the video, if you get the right objects and you get creative, you can make the tiny space work to your advantage.

Blahaj takes us through the small tour, showing off the different items from IKEA that are used in furnishing the space. As explained in the video, it’s all about knowing the space and what to take advantage of in order to maximize the area. Like the large dresser and desk – both items went perfectly inside the tall walls.

The shark realtor also showed off the fact that with the right sofa, you could even have room for a friend to stay overnight! But more exciting than the furnishings in the apartment is the fact that it really is for rent – and the price isn’t bad either!

IKEA currently only has the one tiny apartment for rent, and whoever is lucky enough to get it will be signing a lease that will go through January 15, 2023. The best part is they will only be charged 99 Japanese yen per month. When converted that equals roughly 86 cents in USD, meaning that the fully furnished apartment would cost you less than $1 per month.

In the future, it’s still not known whether or not IKEA will be furnishing and renting apartments such as this one. In the meantime, you can check out the video of Blahaj giving us a tour of the Japanese IKEA apartment below:
