Bringing home a new family member can be exciting, but it can also be quite an adjustment. Whatever balance was in the home, gets thrown off by a new little sibling or pet and everyone needs some time to get used to the new addition.

Shira the Siberian Husky was used to running the roost at her house. She was likely the baby of the family and her parents’ whole entire world. Or, at least, she thought she was.

But one day, her owners brought home something special in a cardboard box: A tiny German Shepherd puppy.

They slowly introduced Shrira to the new pup, Enzo. The large husky dutifully walks over and does a sniff test of the little fluff in the box. She continues to sniff and sniff and almost seems confused.

It’s as if she can’t imagine why her parents would bring a new puppy when they have her! The dogs’ owners filmed the international and shared it with Rumble Viral and many people speculated that the two wouldn’t be getting along anytime soon.

One person wrote, “You can read the husky’s posture. He’s definitely not having it. Wouldn’t leave them alone until posturing changes.” Another added, “He’s not confused. He’s saying send the puppy back.” Watch Shira’s reaction to the new puppy in the video below:

Thankfully, people’s speculation about how the two would get along ended up being wrong, and their owner shared in the comments that they’re now the best of friends! She said Shira and Enzo are inseparable and act as close as siblings.
