Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

Whether you are lucky enough to live in a location where beachgoing is a year-round possibility or you reside in a colder climate, this story is crucial. You always want to be ready for a beach trip….no matter what! Once it’s time to enjoy some much-needed fun in the sun, there are few things better. All those fruity drinks are going to go down better with a little bit of baby powder, though.

That wasn’t a type. By packing baby powder, you can easily deal with one of the most common issues that occur during any beach trip: the sand that gets EVERYWHERE.

You would think that someone would have come up with a solution by now, and here we are. When that sand won’t come off, grab some baby powder and apply it liberally. Once you have gotten out of the water, give yourself some time to air dry. The sand that clings to our skin and won’t let go remains stuck because of the human body’s natural moisture.

By applying a decent amount of baby powder, the added moisture is removed. As soon as the baby powder has been wiped off, you will barely be able to tell that you were at the beach. Everyone loves a trip to the beach but no one enjoys digging the sand out of their clothes and shoes for weeks at a time. YouTube account Howcast shared this invaluable tip and it’s definitely worth passing along.

As an added bonus, it’s also great for the kiddos. “When you’re going to feed the kiddos a snack or getting ready to serve lunch at the beach, bring out your little bottle of baby powder, shake a generous amount on hands and then be ready to easily shake of the sand off any hands,” says mommy blogger DayTrippingMom. The backseat of your car will also thank you, we are sure.
