When you drive up to McDonald’s to order food from your car, you already realize you aren’t getting food from a five-star restaurant. That doesn’t mean, however, that we don’t expect real food in exchange for our order.
We’ve heard a lot about McDonald’s lately, particularly some foods that have been highlighted in TikTok videos. It seems as if that trend is now continuing, but this time they are targeting McDonald’s eggs.
A video clip was shared with the viral platform, where he was making eggs while working at McDonald’s. Millions of people watched the video, and not just a few of them are disgusted with what they saw.
The process is fairly straightforward. A yellow liquid is squirted onto the grill before an egg mixture is poured from a carton. If you can’t read Spanish, it says “liquid egg product” on the side of the carton.
There is also a difference between the round eggs and the folded eggs in various McDonald’s products.
The responses to this video were quite extreme. Some people were saying that they would expect nothing less from the fast-food giant while others were saying that it was one of the most disgusting things they had ever seen.
When you look at the McDonald’s website, however, they do say that they use Grade A fresh eggs. They only use them for a few items.
It says: “We use a freshly cracked, Grade A egg for our famous Egg McMuffin® sandwich. It gets its iconic round shape when we cook it on the grill with an ‘egg ring.’ And that’s just the start of your favorite morning sandwich!”
They also say that they use liquid eggs for other items, such as their sausage burrito or their egg and cheese biscuit.
