Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

@sie_salt is the TikTok user who is sharing this video and we are in total and complete shock. There are certain videos that make us wonder if the person is leading us on.

While this clip seems to be legitimate, we are still struggling to wrap our minds around it. This is one of the oddest mishaps that we have ever seen when it comes to the world of home renovation.

When she pulled a nail out of her wall, a hissing noise ensued. Yes, you read that correctly. There was a hissing noise. TikTok was mystified by this and we are right there with them on this one. What started off as a relatively simple do-it-yourself project morphed into something else entirely. All this woman wanted to do was hang up her new coat rack in peace.

Life is not always that easy, though. She went to hammer a nail into the wall and encountered some unexpected resistance. Once she tried to pull the nail back out so that she could find out what was wrong, the wall hissed at her. The mysterious noise left her befuddled and the rest of TikTok was in the same predicament. They could not figure out what was going on.

“Bro, I was just trying to hang this,” she began, as she showed the viewers at home her handiwork. The coat rack is hanging from a singular nail at the time. She still needs to put up another one, though. As soon as she goes to place the second nail, the problem that she is experiencing comes into full focus.

The noise that the wall makes after the nail is pulled out is something else. To us, it sounded like a tire was in the process of deflating. “What do I do?” she asked the audience, with a look on her face that said it all. No one seemed to know what was going on and she was told that she should contact the fire department or the gas company.

As it turns out, she had accidentally poked a hole in her neighbor’s HVAC system.

She shared in a follow-up video that she found about this issue after putting in an emergency maintenance call.

In the meantime, she should probably take the time to find a new place for her coat rack. Our heart goes out to her!
