Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

In a world riddled with a global pandemic, we could all use a little Christmas cheer. While many of us have probably contemplated throwing up our Christmas tree in July and pretending it’s the end of the year, here is something that will hopefully renew some happiness in you.

The Hallmark Channel has partnered with Wines That Rock to release Hallmark Channel Wines! These are holiday-themed wines inspired by some of the network’s favorite holiday movies. If you pre-order them now, there is a chance you’ll get them in time for the “Countdown to Christmas.” Perhaps 2020 isn’t that bad of a year after all.

There are two wines that are soon to be released and we just know they’ll pair nicely with the “Countdown to Christmas” which is the network’s annual movie marathon that puts us in the holiday spirit. The two wines are “Jingle” and “Joy.” According to the website, Jingle is a red wine, a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon that “glistens a warm ruby color with aromas of dark chocolate, cherry, and a hint of holiday spice.” Meanwhile, the white wine is Joy, a crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc said to hold “notes of tropical fruits, white peach, and ripe pineapple.” Both sound incredible but since I’m definitely a white wine kind of girl I’m over here drooling over the Sauvignon Blanc.

Hallmark made the announcement on Instagram, writing, “We are so excited to announce the launch of our first-ever Hallmark Channel wines! Introducing a Christmas Cabernet and a festive and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc, both the perfect holiday gift.”

According to FAME10, there was another press statement from Danielle Mullin, SVP, Marketing, Crown Media Family Networks, which shared that the “Countdown to Christmas” has become much more than a series of movies. Instead, over the last ten years, it has expanded into more of “a seasonal lifestyle experience.”

Mullin added that “Featuring two exclusive varietals that can be found nowhere else, our Hallmark Channel Wines collection is an exciting new extension of our brand and is designed to enhance our viewers’ enjoyment of the holidays — whether as an accompaniment to our signature movies, an offering at family gatherings, or a unique gift for Hallmark Channel fans.”

But you don’t have to wait until December or the “Countdown to Christmas” to get into your festive spirit. Hallmark has taken to celebrating “Christmas in July” between the 10th and 26th of July in which they play 190-holiday films, with such titles as Christmas at the Palace, Switched for Christmas, A Christmas Duet, It’s Christmas Eve, and Christmas at Dollywood. This year, more than ever, we definitely are wistful for the magic and endless possibilities that come with the holidays.

The Wines That Rock’s award-winning winemaker, Andrew Nelson, also shared his thoughts. Discussing the partnership he revealed that the process was an enjoyable one and the winemaking team really got inspired by the holiday spirit. He added, “This unique Hallmark Channel Wine Collection really delivers on taste, value, and most importantly – some holiday cheer.”

If you’re wanting a little wine help with getting into the Christmas spirit you can purchase the wines either as a 2,4, or 6 pack. There is also the option for a case of 12. You can choose to either get all red or all white, or a combination of both. Each bottle is $14, plus shipping and handling. They’re only making a limited number of the wines so if you want to pre-order for the holiday season you definitely want to do it now. We can’t wait to get our wine Christmas countdown on – this is the year we need it most.
