Sherry came in to see Christopher Hopkins, aka, The Makeover Guy. Christopher’s YouTube channel has skyrocketed in popularity, and it’s easy to see why. He’s charming, honest, but uplifting. You can tell he wants to make his clients feel confident in their own skin, and Sherry is no different.
She confesses that she’s pretty much had the same haircut since she was in junior high. That’s right, Shery’s hair has been platinum blonde and feathered, with the length over her shoulders for over forty years! She’s understandably cautious about changing it, but she came to The Makeover Guy because she wanted to feel younger and beautiful again.
Christopher gave her some great insights and style tips. He said that oftentimes women like their long hair because it makes them feel safe and secure as well as more feminine. Sherry agreed that’s why she kept it long for all these years.
He goes on to pull her hair up in a ponytail, thus exposing her face, neck, and shoulders. He’s so sweet when he tells her she’s got a beautiful face, but it’s hidden under all her hair! Christopher explains that long, flat hair can actually make your face look rounder and your shoulders broader. Shortening the length and getting some volume is surprisingly flattering, even if it’s scary to think about.
