Super Bowl Sunday is just a week and some change away. Even if you are not a fan of the NFL, it’s a big day. The spread is always amazing and the commercials are awesome.

Now, Google is releasing data on the most searched Super Bowl foods. Before we continue, we must advise that there is no shortage of ways to enjoy the Super Bowl parties without increasing anyone’s risk of COVID-19. As for us, we are going to be having our get together this year on Zoom. That does not mean that we are going to skimp on the spread, though!

After all, the food is usually the best part of the day. And now, Google is giving us a chance to go through everyone else’s favorites and it’s just icing on the cake.

Their map of the United States is color coded according to the state’s most-searched Super Bowl food. It makes it easy to tell the difference between main dishes, side dishes, appetizers, dips, and desserts.

All it takes is a quick glance at the map to see how popular the dips are. You simply cannot have a Super Bowl party without the dip! We wouldn’t even consider ourselves to be big football fans and even we know that. Dips are to the Super Bowl what buttered popcorn is to the movie theater. The experience just isn’t the same without them.

The popularity of each dip shifts depending on which state is being discussed. For example, New York favors spinach artichoke dip. We figured that the state that is responsible for bringing us buffalo wings would be more into the buffalo chicken dips.

On the other hand, we were not surprised at all to see how popular the seven-layer dips are. The honorable mentions list is full of classic dishes, too, like chili, cake, and pigs in a blanket.

We hope that this map provides you with the “inspo” that you need to plan the best possible Super Bowl spread. Share away and let’s all enjoy the big weekend!
