When you’ve got a craving for something good, you can always hit a vending machine for a convenient snack.

More than likely, you would pick up a bag of potato chips or maybe a candy bar but if you happen to live in Germany, you might just be able to grab some delicious sausage.

The Independent is reporting that Germany has come up with the 24-hour sausage vending machine so you can always grab your favorite meat snack when the butcher is out of town. They are actually gaining in popularity (as we knew they would) in different areas of Germany.

People who work may have a difficult time getting to the butcher and others who sell fresh food because they close early.

Since a vending machine is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you never have to wonder where you’re going to get sausage for your next meal. Then again, it’s also ideal for that craving you have in the middle of the night.

In 2020, NPR reported that there were about 500,000 machines in Germany that are serving up meat products. Some of the different items you might find in one of these machines include bratwurst, bratwurst, eggs, butter, milk, and even potato salad.

They do what they can to ensure the safety of those who are using the machines. They are temperature controlled and the meats are vacuum-sealed.

This was such a great idea that in 2021, the town of Hermann, Missouri also welcomed such a machine that was built in Germany. Smoked meat products were available inside of the machine, and the little experiment is a hit.
