It can be hard for a person to sit down and rank their favorite songs. After all, we all hear so much music over the course of a lifetime. However, if we had to narrow it down? “Wonderwall” by Oasis would be at or near the top of the list. It is a timeless classic that we are never, ever going to get tired of listening to.
While cover versions of our all-time favorites are often a mixed bag, there is something to be said for this one, in particular.
If you have been watching American Idol as of late, you are probably familiar with the musical stylings of Fritz Hager by now. He’s quickly become one of our favorite contestants and it is time that you learned why.
This past week, he unleashed a cover of “Wonderwall” that is sure to perk some ears up. Even if this man does not win the crown this season, he still deserves to get a record deal as soon as possible.
He was not content to perform the song as is, either. As we all know, the best cover versions take place when the artist is willing to put their own special spin on the tune.
Hager was more than happy to do so. You will need to hear this one for yourself in order to truly appreciate it. As longtime fans of the show, we have seen a lot of talented musicians come and go and Hager may be one of the best we’ve heard.
If we had to predict it, this is a name that you are definitely going to be hearing a lot more about going forward. He could end up in the annals of American Idol fame, right next to juggernauts like Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson.
