Bathrooms don’t just have to be practical, sometimes they can be havens of calm. Relaxing in the bathtub after a long day with a warm bubble bath and a good book is one of life’s simple pleasures.

On Instagram, HGTV’s Erin Napier shared a wonderfully unique addition to her bathroom: a bathroom bookshelf!

On her Instagram story, she wrote, “Y’all have a lot of questions about this.”

She clarified that it was her niche for both books and soaps since there is one on both ends of her bathtub. She didn’t say exactly what her inspiration was, but given that she declared herself a “lifelong reader and bubble bather,” it’s probably safe to assume that got inspired by the necessity of having a place to store both close by.

It does seem to come in handy as the book and soap nooks are so close at hand that she can easily reach for both without needing to get out of the tub.

In her photo, it is clear that she definitely enjoys her bath time reads as there are a number of different titles featured on her little bookshelf, such as “The Midnight Library” by Matt Haig, “Cooking for Picasso” by Camille Aubray, “Where I Come From: Stories from the Deep South” by Rick Bragg, and others.

Given that she’s such a big reader, it’s also not surprising that she’s also a published author herself. Back in 2018, she and Ben came out with their book, “Make Something Good Today.”

But what we really want, is her instructions on how to create our own reading bookshelf for the bath. It’s every bookworm’s dream! What do you think of this bathtub bookshelf? Let us know!
