Hi. I’d like to introduce you to the thing I am about to start bringing to every party and gathering that requires a food contribution — these Easy Garlic Knots. They are delicious in a serious way. Bathed in a garlicky and buttery sauce that leaves the dough crisp on the exterior and pillowy and tender on the inside, they’re the kind of thing you can’t eat just one of. And they’re so easy to make.

You need six things. First up, pizza dough. You don’t even have to make your own. (But you can, if you’re feeling industrious.) Then, you just need butter, garlic, garlic powder, parsley, and parmesan.

Why fresh garlic and garlic powder? Well, they have different flavors. So it makes layers of garlic flavor.

Take your pizza dough and roll it out a bit to flatten it and cut it into 12 equal strips.

Roll each strip into a log just so it’s even…

… and then tie the strip into a gentle knot, tucking the ends underneath.

Melt that butter, and then stir in the fresh garlic, the garlic powder, the parsley, and the parm…

… and brush it all over those knots. But save a couple of tablespoons of that butter for later. Trust me.

And then you bake. They’ll puff a bit, get golden brown and beautiful.

And then you brush them with more butter. The reason for this is two-fold. One, you get another layer of garlic flavor because the garlic in the butter has been barely cooked and so it’s a little sharper. And two, that butter keeps the knots from even thinking about being dry.

These don’t need dipping, but it doesn’t hurt. Marinara, ranch, maybe even more garlic butter.

Or just eat ’em as is. Whatever floats your boat.
