There are many things that we may appreciate about the holiday season but a brightly lit Christmas tree is likely near the top of the list.
If you are somebody that misses the Christmas tree once December is over, you don’t have to miss it 11 months out of the year. You can brighten your home up this spring by adding an Easter tree.
An Easter tree is similar to a Christmas tree, but rather than the nativity scene, snowman, and Santa Claus, you are decorating with Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, and pastel colors.
There are plenty of examples of Easter trees on Instagram to fuel your imagination.
Let’s start with this glittery, gold Easter bunny ear tree that was shared thanks to @homespunhealth
“We’ll be playing games, doing crafts, watching films, but all without pressure and expectation,” she noted in the caption of how her family was spending time hunkered down at home during the coronavirus pandemic. “And well, if we’re going to be living in a bubble for a bit, I might as well make it Easter themed!”
@sami_riccioli shared a blue and pink tree that is loads of fun.
Easter trees are nothing new, although they are just catching on in the United States. In Germany, they have been popular for years. A representative for Treetopia, Tami Kelly, told Romper that the tradition of decorating tree branches with painted eggs is known as Ostereierbaum. It is a tradition hoped to usher in spring. The company used its own Instagram feed to show examples of how a pink tree is perfect for an Easter tree.
It doesn’t have to be a big tree to look nice. @flamboesa put a Charlie Brown Christmas tree spin on their Easter tree.
@.old.orchard.made.new shows how easy it is to make a tree out of Easter eggs.
Looks like we have some fun work to do this year.
