While these men had some humble beginnings, things are looking up now. They got started in a parking lot in East Hollywood but now it is like a rocket has been strapped to their back.

According to Restaurant News, they have now become the fastest-growing restaurant chain in America. This company’s fried chicken is so delicious, that they even managed to land an early investment from none other than Drake. Yes, that Drake. Can you believe that they have received over 31 million views of organic TikTok content that is generated by the users themselves?

These guys have also become hugely popular on Instagram, gaining followers at a rate that easily dwarfs any other the highest Instagram follower count of any national fast-casual brand.

Lest you think that they are merely a social media phenomenon, their sales growth numbers are also speaking for themselves. As per Restaurant News, they have seen 262% total 2021 sales growth, as compared to 2020. That number rises to 471% when the total 2021 open unit count growth is compared to 2020.

There are now over 700 locations to be found all across North America. Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Detroit, Toronto, Portland, and Milwaukee are all home to their own Famous Dave’s franchises.

The establishment is best known for its Hot Chicken Sliders and Tenders, which are offered at seven different levels of spiciness.

These options range in intensity, as the customer is able to choose from No Spice to Reaper. Those who decide to try out the Reaper variety are required to sign a waiver before they chow down. Of course, there are all types of classic sides to be had, too. Kale/slaw, fries, and mac n’ cheese are all available. We cannot wait until we have our chance to tuck into a plate from this restaurant!

“Dave’s Hot Chicken has one the greatest origin stories in the restaurant business, with the founders starting Dave’s as a parking lot pop-up restaurant in Hollywood with a portable fryer and picnic tables from their backyards just five short years ago,” Bill Phelps, Dave’s Hot Chicken’s CEO says, according to Restaurant News.
