A Dr. Pepper soda that tastes like birthday cake sounds like an impossible dream, but 2021 is full of surprises. Some might be wondering why they have yet to see this beverage on the store shelves yet. As it turns out, there is a very good explanation for this issue. The soda is much more exclusive than any of us could have ever possibly imagined.
Exclusive sodas, you say? What’s that all about? JKMerm shared a photo of the can on Twitter and they wanted to make sure to set the record straight. “I’m part of the Pepper Pack, which is the Dr Pepper brand ambassador program! They sent me a few cans of this for my birthday!” they explained.
Erikagc70 on Instagram also has a message about the birthday packages. She wrote:

The can is especially beautiful, as it is maroon, white, and sprinkle covered. Unless you have taken the time to join the Pepper Pack, these bad boys are not going to be available in a retail setting. Near as we can tell, the flavor has been in existence for the past two years. The earliest photos date back to August of 2018.
