If you have ever been to a Disney park before, you know that there are certain treats that are a cut above the rest.

We fully understand why they hold such a high level of importance to those who visit these parks on a regular basis. The Mickey ice cream sandwiches are a hit and the Mickey soft pretzels are pretty awesome in their own right.

There is one treat that seems to rule over all of the rest, though. The Dole whip treat is commonly discussed by any Disney park attendee and it is easy to see why. It’s become synonymous with the parks themselves. In fact, many of us find ourselves wishing that we could take some home with us.

Well, we have some news for you! According to a press release, those who love this delightful snack will soon be able to pick some up at their local retail store.

We must be honest here, it feels like our prayer was answered individually. For any readers who are not familiar with the magic of the Dole whip, we are here to explain. It is a soft-serve dessert that is fruit flavored and very similar to ice cream.

Pineapple is the most commonly enjoyed variation but there is a wide range of flavors for visitors to enjoy. Thanks to the good folks at Dole Packaged Foods, who is providing the fruit, we are soon going to be able to stock our homes with it. The press release describes it as “a better-for-you dessert with a creamy texture and real fruit.” What’s not to love?

Best of all, there are going to be three different flavors available when the Dole whip hits store shelves. Of course, the pineapple that we all love will be there, as well as mango and strawberry. The arrival of the new product was announced at Expo West. Sadly, we do not have a date to pass along when it comes to widespread grocery store availability.

We’re hoping to see the product hit store shelves sometime this year.
