We all need hobbies. They are a great way for us to relax and unwind while partaking in an activity that we enjoy.

One hobby that can really be relaxing is gardening. There is something nearly therapeutic about handling plants and nurturing things to life.

Gardening can easily become quite a pricy hobby as we often need to splash out for various tools and contraptions to help cultivate our little plant babies – particularly if they’re little seedlings.

Anyone who has ever tinkered around in the garden knows that seedlings often need little greenhouses to keep them warm and help them germinate. However, greenhouses can get costly quite quickly.

Luckily, if you are willing to get creative, there is a way that you can make your own mini greenhouse, which is far less expensive. It looks rather cute, too!

The DIY mini greenhouse can easily be achieved using a clear umbrella – all you need to do is remove the handle, according to Twitter user @MainelyHRT.

Then, depending on the size of the umbrella, it can be used to cover up young sprouts in pots or even to cover up a full ground bedding of young plants. The greenhouses are great since they can help young plants survive during the colder weather months.

Perhaps one of the best things about them is that they’re not only functional, but they’re also quite adorable as well.

Anyone who loves to garden knows that part of the fun of gardening is acquiring little aesthetically pleasing items to go with your garden. These DIY mini greenhouses certainly fit the bill.
