Instead of heading to Starbucks on a daily basis for a fresh beverage, this woman has decided to make her own at home.
She went viral on TikTok for showing off her setup and you won’t be able to believe your eyes once you see it. As with most things that go viral on there, a debate ensued soon after. People were all debating it among themselves.
They wanted to know if this investment was really worthwhile or not. Coco, who goes by @cosettecutie on the app, is the one who shared the unique setup.
It’s a pretty sweet cafe that she has going, as she has a number of coffee machines and other various syrups that are used to create all sorts of Starbucks classics.
“You never have to pay $7 for a drink ever again,” she writes. Yeah, that is well and good, but we are sure that a setup like this will cost you a pretty penny regardless, right?
The comments seemed to sum it up pretty well. We are right there with the people who were pointing out how costly the initial investment would be for this type of thing.
“Now you just have to pay for the machine, cups and ingredients and learn how to make them,” one person said. Our thoughts exactly. Meanwhile, there are others who pointed out the fact that it would all be pure profit after a certain amount of drinks. After all, if you are the type of person who goes to Starbucks on a daily basis, this may work for you.
This is where Coco’s math comes into play. She was asked to share her costs and she was happy to break them down for the audience.
“I did that a couple months ago for an iced vanilla latte! It was $1.05,” she explained. The machine that she uses in her coffee nook to make espressos? She got it for all of $40, which is stunning to us but still awesome.
