When this woman and her father were at a fancy restaurant recently, the most hilarious thing happened. This man decided that the hand towel at his table looked like a marshmallow and tried to start eating it!
We wish that we were joking about this one but it is 100 percent true. This man really tried to eat a hand towel and we are beside ourselves.
Zoe Roe (@zozoroe is her TikTok handle) is an influencer who loves to share stories from her daily life. We are glad that she shared this one in particular because we cannot stop laughing.
The video has received over 64 million views, as people are stunned to learn that her father managed to mistake a hand towel for a piece of food.
It is not a mistake that we would make but we are willing to cut the man some slack. In his defense, the bowl of white cubes does look a bit like some marshmallows. Hot water was poured over them, though. That’s why we are wondering how this father could have made such a mistake. Roe’s mother clearly knows what is going on and grabs the towel for its intended usage.
Her father, on the other hand, pops it into his mouth. “It’s a towel!” his wife exclaims, much to the chagrin of the clearly confused dad. “What?” he asks, as he spits it out into his hand. Roe’s mother starts to lose it and it is not long before the dad realizes what is going in and finally joins in.
“When you bring your parents to a fancy restaurant and they don’t know how to act,” Roe wrote in her caption. She’s also laughing at the misunderstanding and how could you not? “We’re not used to this,” she writes. “Papa Roe thought he was getting some fancy complimentary marshmallows.” Poor Papa!
At least he is willing to be a good sport about the whole thing and laugh at his own mistake.

Viewers were sympathetic to Papa Roe’s plight as well. “If it’s not edible, why does it look edible? I swear, I would have done the same,” wrote one. “My family and I clapped when the server poured the water over them because we had no idea what was going on,” said another.
