Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you have kids of your own, you know how hard it can be to get them to take a good picture. It always feels like pulling teeth, especially once they have gotten old enough to actively refuse to do so.

Instead of getting the picture that we actually want, we tend to end up with something that looks more forced than we would like.

Adam Perry is an author and designer with an awesome hack to share. He’s got a great trick for coaxing great photos out of his son and you need to see it immediately.

Parents everywhere, your nightmare is finally over. If you are willing to follow in Perry’s footsteps, the choice is a simple one. All he does is yell “poop” right when he’s about to take a picture and the rest takes care of itself.

It’s very easy to remember and parents will no longer have to be stressed out about the prospect of getting a great picture.

If you are anything like us, you are chuckling just imagining the scenario we just laid out. Perry was even willing to share the evidence of his successful photo-taking adventures on his Twitter page.

It is always nice to see some happy times on Twitter. Even the snark masters that reside there were not able to come up with anything to say about the photos. The side-by-side photos speak for themselves. Potty-based humor always works. It is tried, tested, and true.

“He has the cutest ‘strained’ smile, almost like Hide the Pain Harold,” Perry shared, according to PetaPixel. “My wife and I discovered a few years back that if we yelled out something funny and mildly inappropriate and were ready to snap right away, we could get something good out of it.”

He says that the trick does not work nearly as well on his older son, which is to be expected. You cannot expect these types of results forever.
