As the warm weather settles in, the last thing one wants to do is stand over a stove and prepare a crazy amount of ingredients. Here, Creamy Crunchy Apple Salad is composed of a simple dressing coating ingredients that have a purpose and not just vain fillers.

The dressing is a quick no-brainer of mayonnaise, sugar, and lemon juice. If you want a lighter version for the dressing, you can swap out the mayonnaise with a thick-styled Greek yogurt.

Next, the apples, raisins, walnuts, and celery are added to the bowl and tossed with the dressing. The raisins, walnuts, and celery add contrast to the apples in both taste and texture.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped toasted walnuts
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
Preparation
  1. In a large bowl whisk mayonnaise, sugar, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Add in apples, raisins, walnuts, and celery, tossing to combine.
  3. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
