If you are someone who loves to enjoy ice cream in taco form, this is a very sad day. We hate to be the bearers of bad news but someone has to pass this information along.
The iconic Choco Taco has been discontinued by Klondike, according to their website, and people are hopping mad.
For those who have never had one, the Choco Taco is comprised of a waffle cone in the shape of a tortilla. From there, the tortilla is filled up with vanilla ice cream and a number of chocolate goodies and nuts are used as toppings.
The ice cream mainstay took to Twitter to address the situation and they confirmed what we already know. “Unfortunately, the Choco Taco has been discontinued in both 1ct and 4ct packs,” Klondike said. They even took the time to speak with concerned Choco Taco lovers.

They added, “A necessary but unfortunate part of this process is that we sometimes must discontinue products, even a beloved item like Choco Taco. We know this may be very disappointing, and hope you’ll try our other delicious frozen treats.”
Fans were beside themselves and we can see why. To their credit, Klondike was very transparent about their reasoning. “Over the past 2 years, we have experienced an unprecedented spike in demand across our portfolio and have had to make very tough decisions to ensure availability of our full portfolio nationwide,” they explained. However, you do not have to give up all hope just yet.
The company has left the door open for a potential return, so do not fret!
“We know Choco Taco is a huge fan favorite and a top seller for our out-of-home business, so this is particularly painful. We’re working hard to find a way to bring Choco Taco back to ice cream trucks in the coming years,” they tweeted.

We are having a hard time coming to terms with this one but we will do our best not to get too dramatic about it.
