Making Mealtime Meaningful: Discover how we're giving back with the 12T Cares program →

If you’re a fan of romance movies then you will love the special package offered by the HarbourView Inn. This hotel, which sits on the waterfront of Charleston, South Carolina, allows their guests to see some of the most famous scene settings from “The Notebook” – a very romantic movie that has personally made me cry plenty of times. The package also includes rose-petal turndown, plus a bottle of sparkling wine.

The hotel’s package is called the Allie and Noah’s Timeless Romance Experience, and it takes you around the different iconic spots in Charleston where the movie was filmed. The 2004 film, which is based on the 1996 book by Nicholas Sparks, starred Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling.

The two brought us the romantic story of two soulmates in the 1940s who faced war, separation, disapproving parents, and a meant-to-be love story.

As for what is included in the HarbourView Inn’s package, there is a lot to get excited about. Those who decide to give this a go will get to visit Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, the place where Allie and Noah share a kiss after she shoves ice cream in his face. You also get a $25 gift card, so if you and your partner want to recreate that scene, you’ll have plenty of ice cream for it.

There is also a private carriage ride for two around Charleston’s Historic District, the site where Allie and Noah walk down King Street together. There is also a stop at The American Theater, where Noah and Allie dance together in the street. You can even request to have a personalized romantic saying displayed across the marquee!

Beyond that, there is a trip to the Audubon Swamp Garden where Allie and Noah went on that incredible boat ride together. But before you get too excited, don’t get excited for swans. They’re not actually native to the area. Instead, they were brought in as chicks by the filmmakers and raised in a nearby lake solely for the movie. But you do get to enjoy a $100 gift card for dinner at High Cotton, the place where Allie meets Lon Hammond for lunch the day that Noah walks by and sees her through the window.

This package might sound like the perfect Valentine’s Day experience, but luckily for us, it’s available year-round. So, whenever it’s safe to travel and you need a romantic weekend away, you can always go live your Notebook fantasy. The only thing not included is an orchestral overture for your big romantic kiss in the rain. Bummer.

What do you think of the package? Would it be something you’d want to do? Let us know!
