Calling all coconut fans! This one is for you. Known in Brazil as Cocada Cremosa, this dessert is rich, creamy, and absolutely loaded with tropical coconut flavor. Coming together with just a handful of pantry staples and some heavy cream, this treat couldn’t be much easier to make. It’s the kind of recipe you want in your back pocket for when those sugar cravings strike. Let’s get into how it’s made…

This stovetop recipe starts out with butter and a can of sweetened condensed milk. This rich base is mixed with unsweetened coconut flakes and a can of full fat coconut milk. Cook this delicious mixture over medium heat and let all those tropical flavors blend together. After about 5 minutes or so you’ll notice the pudding will easily separate from the sides and bottom of the pan, that’s when it’s time to add the final ingredient: heavy cream.

The cream adds even more of that delicious custardy texture to the mix. Stir it in until it’s well combined, then remove the pan from the heat. The pudding may seem thin at this point, but don’t worry, it will thicken as it cools. Serve it with your favorite tropical fruit or with a sprinkle of dark chocolate shavings on top. You can’t go wrong with this sweet Brazilian treat!
