Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza

Two American classics, burgers and pizza, combine in this ultimate treat meal. Can’t decide between pizza night and burger night? This is one very tasty solution to the problem.

If you wonder whether mustard and ketchup belong on a pizza the answer is most certainly a resounding ‘yes’. I’m not usually one who believes that every dish needs to combined with other dishes. I mean those bloody Marys with a few pickled veggies on top are tasty, but the ones with the slider and fries and a whole meal on top are a bit much for me personally. However, this pizza won me over at first bite – it’s that good!

Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza

With this bacon cheeseburger pizza the mash-up really works. I will say that one thing that made me love this dish are the pickles. I’m a dill pickle fiend and this made the pizza really tasty.

As you might expect there’s the usual cheeseburger toppings on this, like cheddar cheese, bacon, and ground beef. You only need 1/2 pound ground beef for this and you can use the other half pound for another meal.

For the crust I used a pre-made crust from the refrigerated deli section of the grocery – the kind that comes in a bag.

If you’d rather make it from scratch then by all means use your favorite pizza dough recipe.

I have enjoyed this straight from the oven each time, but I have to say that this pizza is also wonderful cold the next morning- if you’re a cold pizza type of person.

It might be unexpected, but this pizza has the best flavor and is surprisingly balanced. It’s one ‘smoosh’ that definitely works!
